Everyone has a passion. Some are passionate about protecting our planet and the air we breathe, others are devoted to
prevention of cruelty to animals and some are committed to supporting research for cures from terminal illnesses.
There are so many reasons why one should consider pursuing involvement in the cause they are passionate about. Ontario
Youth Against Poverty is an organization of youth who all share the same passion, a passion for the issue of poverty and homelessness.
By building an effective web site, we hope to get our message out to a larger audience of people interested in similar issues.
We are all poor of something. Some of us are poor of love, some are poor of self-esteem, some are poor of social
acceptance, others are poor of housing or adequate income. Each human being is created equal by God. The homeless are
people with lives and stories just like those of us who sleep with a roof over our head each night. OYAP recognizes that all
people deserve our love and attention. We work together in the fight for the dignity and basic human rights
of the needy, poor and homeless.
